Gone are the days when tipping was greeted with a thank you, or general acceptance. ive noticed in recent years that it has gone beyond the norm to literally roll there eyes at you, or look at you with contempt, NOT because you didn't tip them BUT that you didn't tip them enough, when did, waiters, valets, door openers, bedmakers, car parkers, pizza delivery persons, and generally fake smiley people get so much power, a tip is meant to be a further payment that is decided by the customer if he feels the other person deserves it, not because he is forced into giving a tip by an over controlling nanny state, There is no problem with tipping, its a good thing, but its the current demand from the overly spoilt (i deserve it) brigade, What next being automatically charged a tip, when you call up your bank to ask about you OWN finances.
Has anyone noticed this culture of rude staff demanding tips.?
