Hi, yes, I have also. I actually had several levels at the same time doing that in the lurabar spine and also pushing into surrounding nerves. It was pushing into the canal, plus I had bone overgrowth and a ligament all doing the same thing at the same time, so it all quite painful. I did not have actual cauda equina syndrome (no loss of bowel or bladder) but all of this was compressing the cauda equina area. It also caused me severe cramp like pains in my rear and my legs and I couldnt stand erect. The straigher you stand, the more everything gets pushed into that area. It all together caused me to have severe lurabar stenosis. I had to have surgery but that doesnt necessarily mean you will have to. Many times disc herniations will resolve themselves and the pain goes away over time. Since my surgery, i've had that happen too. It is very serious, though, if you do lose control of your bowels or bladder. If that happens, you should probably go to the ER right away.
