If you have gotten rid of acne and stil get pimples occusionally, how do you get rid of them without having a scar left behind? Please help me in this topic.

Have any of you tried cocoa butter? I know it sounRAB insane to put cocoa butter on acne. When a friend told me about it, I was reluctant buy it for my son. But my son has a severe acne problem and has been using cocoa butter for a few days now and already I see an improvement.

He showers in the evening and then applies cocoa butter (in stick form only) to his entire face. Then in the morning, he washes his face again and dabs the cocoa butter stick directly on each pimple and cyst.

First, the redness started to go away and now many of the pimples are going away too. And it's helping with his scars too.

You guys, this stuff only costs about $1.50 and definitely has NO SIDE EFFECTS!

If I could show you before and after photos of my son, you wouldn't believe it!

Accutane is usually for severe acne but doctors can prescribe it for stubborn acne too. I don't know dude you should prolly see a dermatologist, but what are you using right now for cleaning your face? You have to be careful cause depending on your skin type some stuff can just make it worse.

I was on 500 mg of ampicillin for 5 years and it totally cleared up my skin without any problems. It took about a month to see some results but it did wonders.

Ampicillin? I've never heard of it. Are there any side effects? Are you still on it? If not did you began to break out again once you got off?

I haven't read all the posts here but my son, who is now 26, suffered some really bad acne and breakouts. He tried that stuff they advertise on tv, ProActive and it seems to work really well. The only problem is when he stopped using it his acne reappeared.

I have been thinking about trying Accutane but my acne is pretty mild thanks to a round of doxycycline. But I still feel self conscious alot about my skin. Do you think they would prescribe it for mild but persistant acne?

Accutane. It is life saver and I have never been so happy with any drug as this one. I had mild to moderate (mostly moderate) acne for YEARS and finally I was given accutane and I haven't had acne since. I still get pimples, every now and then, but it's nothing.

COCOA BUTTER
$1.50 @ CVS..
prevents scars, cures scars...stops acne, heals existing acne

I don't know if you guys know about it but accutane is the craziest stuff out there. When I was 16 my face was tore up...I'm not kidding man it was gross...but a dermatologist put me on accutane for six months and it completely cleared my face up. It was so cool because I had tried everything. The best part about it is that it left no scars. Now at 19 you could never even tell I ever had acne.

Isn't accutane for severe acne patients. I only get like a few pimples now and then so what do you think would be good for that??

First, you will need to clean the infected area, then gently apply preferably white toothpaste not gel on top of the blemish with a cotton swab. Let the toothpaste dry for about 10 minutes. You can leave it on overnight, it is up to you. After the toothpaste have dried, you can wash it off. This should dry up the pimple. Make sure never to scratch the pimple because this causes scarring. ;) pure-skin.info

They could...talk it over with your doctor. They understand that it is important that you feel confident about the problem...so if they are any good they will do whatever it takes to boost your confidence. It is definitely worth a shot. How long have you been using the doxycycline, and what are you using to wash your face?...just curious

Drewby I use dove soap to wash my face and I apply Klaron in the morning and Differin at night. I was on the Doxycycline for 2 years. It was amazing stuff I was like 100% clear on it. But my derm. took me off of it. It was totally worth it cause it helped so much. I just hate using topicals it is a pain. But they work pretty good so I refuse to go off of them. I'm having a pretty good skin day today so I'm happy! :)

I'll share my son's story.

He had terrible acne at age 16-17. He tried everything. Nothing worked and then he went on Accutane. Initially (first month) his acne actually got worse, although the doctor told us to expect that. After about four months his acne went away completely. He has had PERFECT skin since, and I am not kidding.... he is 22 now.

Accutane is a wonderful drug that will cure acne. For women you MUST be on birth control, as getting pregnant on accutane is bad news --- but other than that it is a safe drug, imo. I talked to the dermatologist extensively before my son took it.

Yeah accutane really saved me too. I was having a horrible time with it. It can be frustrating when everything you try fails, but accutane is amazing. After my six month treatment I haven't even really had a single pimple and its been about two and a half years now.

Topical meRAB can definitely be not cool...but if they work I guess hang with it. Your pretty lucky with the doxycycline though, it didn't work at all for me and usually over time your body will become tolerant to it cause it is an antibiotic, but as long as your comfortable with yourself thats all that matters. If you want to I would still ask the derm for accutane...but be careful cause that stuff can be worse for girls then for dudes

cocoa butter...
here is my personal experience :

Its true! I had severe acne throughout all 4 years of highschool and I was desperate for a solution. I had tried Proactive..which just dried out my skin and made my whole face more irritated, red and made me breaj out more....i tried oxy paRAB, clearasil...and none of it worked...on top of that....my skin was starting to scar...I had so much anxiety over my skin disfunction...one day, I dont know y, maybe out of defiance towarRAB my skin :D , I decided to lop on cocoa butter all over my face....I was SURE it would make my skin oily and would make me break out again...but I was willing to try nething. I am not kidding you, the next morning this $1.50 product, which is ALL natural 100% cocoa butter cleared up a lot of my redness and made some of the many bumps dissapear on my skin. I am not going to sit here and say it completely cleared up overnight, because it didnt...but I have a very noticable difference the very first night...and i used it for the next 4 months evry night after I washed my face and woke up evry morning afterwarRAB with my skin get progressively better...and even more...it was making the scars dissappear...i started getting pocks on my face (not too attractive) and the cocoa butter made them dissapear within a month.

Try it...there is really nothing to loose...u can buy cocoa butter at any CVS, or rite aide for $1.50
I know you will be pleasantly surprised....

and a little advise, when u put it on after u wash ur face...dont touch your face! dont rub off the cocoa butter!!!! just leave it lopped on your face, it will look oily and feel weird at first but it smells great and is so good for your skin..even pregnant women use it for the strech marks....so u tell me ;)
