If you have one earwig in your lawn, then you probably have a 100 under a board somewhere. I turned over boards around my house and found tons of them this spring. I sprayed them. There were too many to let them be.

Earwig controls sold in garden centers is an effective means to rid your garden of earwigs.

They are basically sawdust treated with an attractant, and do not contain poison. The earwig cannot digest the sawdust and dies.

Plain sawdust will work,
just not as effectively. Sprinkle either generously around your garden, and re-apply every few weeks.

Earwigs eat other bugs in the garden. Aside from looking ugly, they are harmless to humans and pets.
