Has anyone exprienced this anxiety symptom?

I work full time in a very high demanding job and have two kiRAB and a husband that also works full time, though I am the bread winner!!!! I have a pulsating drum-like sound as if it is behind my ear drums, comes and goes. But the falling asleep thing is the worst. I will be on the verge of falling asleep and all of the sudden, I feel this awful dreadful stun gun type feeling that jolts me awake and then the pulsating thing starts and there goes my night of sleep. To make it even worse, I am having back surgery in Jan to fuse the lower two vertebra in my spine. :eek: I take so many drugs already that I am afarid to start something else. I do have .5mg klonopin but, it really does very little for my anxiety. :( My PCP has put me on every anti depressent known to man and none have worked, in fact some made me worse. I was bouncing off the walls with the wellabutrin . I love this website, it makes me feel so much better knowing I am not the only one with these crazy symptoms. Thanks Heather :wave:
 
Have you considered an ENT (Ear/Nose/Throat) doctor? Perhaps you have occasional fluid buildup behind your ear. Laying down could aggravate this.
