I haven't. but i think its a very bad idea.

Yes. Someone has. You use aquarium silicone and glass, but honestly, any pure silicone sealant will work. They sell it specially for aquariums just so they can make more money lol. Usually there's a plastic frame at the bottom for extra support. It isn't really worth the time and money to do it unless you're making a large tank, a ten gallon is only like $10 anyway. The nice thing about building your own is that you can customize it. You can have the exact length and height you want!

hi there! my dad used to partnership with one of his good friend with his pet shop, my dad used to breed the fishes for him.
my dad always made our own awuariums...from 25 gal to 100 gal.
and you name the size hed made it!
its pretty easy...
first thing is u need the glasses like the ones used for aquariums.
then just a glass glue.
thats all. remember clearly because i used to help our my dad, i would be the one to squeeze the glass glue if he couldnt, while the centers the glass pieces together.

I haven't, but to tell you the truth, unless you'v spoken to someone that makes them and sells them, I wouldn't try. I found a pretty good site that you could check out in the source box. If you're planning to build one for fish, I would make a couple and test them out w/ water. Hope I helped.
