Has anyone converted a Jeep Wrangler to Diesel?

I've been offered a 1999 Wrangler TJ with a very broken 2.5l engine.

Now, the price we have to pay for our petrol here in the UK may dictate a swap to a diesel engine that is either suitable or sourced from a diesel Cherokee - has anyone done a 'heart transplant' like this yet?

How easy was it? Did it improve the MPG? Would you do it again?
 
yes. please look at dieselpowermag.com there was one done in that . looks very labor heavy. unknown cost in the uk.good luck.
