Has anyone been told they're having a certain sex, and the baby came out the opposite?

I've been told I'm having a girl on the basis of " I can't see anything in between its legs" I've had this niggling feeling the baby is coming out a boy.

Has this happened to anyone, or know of anyone this has happened to?
I found out what we're having in May, I'm almost ready to give birth lol. I suppose I have no choice but to wait now.
Also, I had no preference of what the sex was, I just had this feeling she wasn't looking properly.

A good ultrasound tech would not have told you it's a girl cause they can't see anything. They should have told you they aren't sure but they think probably a girl. My friend went in and she has 4 boys they told her she was having a girl and she didn't believe them so they had the doctor come in and show her exactly why. You need to see in the ultrasound what looks like 3 lines (where there is no penis) that is the vulva. I have not known anyone personally who has had the sex come out different but I have heard of it and girl wrongs are more common. My two children were boys inside and when they came out. I'm finding out what this one is Sept 15. Sorry I couldn't help more.

hahahahah oh gosh. this happened to my cousin.
a girl.
yay!!
but then she went in the next month..
and was like..
oh.. wait a min.
hahaha
a boy.

and as for me.. they kept sayin they want to say its a girl cuz they "can't see anything"
so i had to wait til i was 21 wks to actually find out.
drink apple juice before you go in next time.
it'll get your lil one all awake and moving so they can get a clear shot.
lol

it can happen so don't buy any particular colours just yet

My first baby I didn't find out the sex, it was a nice surprise, so with the second I wanted to know but they told me a girl and turned out to be a boy, I was ok about that but wondered why I wanted to find out the sex as it turned out wrong so my third I wanted a surprise. I don't know why everyone these days needs to know the sex, it's actually quite nice to find out on the day and take it from there.

i was told correctly that i was having a girl. But being mindful that they CAN make mistakes, i made sure i was emotionally prepared for either.

I also didn't find out til 34 weeks (Had gestational diabetes= lots of scans!) so by then i really wasn't fussed one way or the other and i didn't spend too long going 'i'm having a girl.' I even checked when she came out to see what sex she was! lol.

At least it will be a nice surprised either way :) That moment when they put the baby on your tummy, you just don't care about anything other than that your baby is finally in your arms! :D So jealous that you get to experience that soon, even though i've already had it. I'd go through my labor again to have that first cuddle again! It's magic. :D Can't wait to have another (most days! ahahaha).
