Has anyone been to Grano de Oro restaurant?

I am taking someone there for dinner in 10 days, but I have heard that the meal portions are rather small... Is this true? I don't need them to be huge... But I want them to be decent-sized where we both can say we had a good, fulfilling dinner.

Help?

Hmm I just had lunch there like an hour ago...I have been coming to Costa Rica once or twice a year now since 2002 and make it a point to stop at Grano de Oro for my first lunch of the trip or right before hitting the airport every time. The place has changed alot (both physical building and the menu) over the years and I still stop by.

I would say the food portions are smaller than an "average" Tico serving but not to the ridiculously small sizes like in some posh American or European uber-trendy restaurants. In fact compared to those places Grano de Oro is a real bargain. It is well worth a visit as the menu is really original with tasty treats. Also they have great cocktails and alcoholic free fresh juices.
