Has anyone been to camp arifjan recently?

I have been to Iraq and now i am wanting to know what the living conditions are there, we lived in CHU's in Iraq. I could deal with those there also. I just do not want to end up living with more than 1 person.
 
I was at Arifjan in 2003. My Unit was first push in. It was crap. We lived in tents, 20 Soldiers to a tent.. There were very few hard buildings to put Soldiers up in. The Hard buildings were given out as Company, Battalion TOC's/ ALOC's.
It has been 6 yrs. I would hope that with all the money that has been pumped into Iraq, that some of that trinkled down to the Soldiers Quality of Life.
So I would hope the Living situation would be better.

Either way, you will make it, you will over come and adapt to your surroundings. I know it sucks, so embrace the suck.
 
i was in iraq in 05 and kuwait in 07. i went to arifjan a lot. it has nice area of living depending on what side you are on. they have building for just a few people or you could be in buildings that are unit sized. big enough for a platoon or two. it was nice. huge PXs and pools and whatever else you want.
