has anybody tried acupuncture?

I am currently receiving accupuncture treatments (with electric stimulus) from a local chiropractor. So far I have gotten quite a bit of relief. I've had four treatments out of the 12 he suggested. I go back in tomorrow for another treatment. I would highly recommend that you at least try it. I'm getting needles from the base of my skull to the back of my thighs while laying flat on my stomach. Laying on my stomach is normally very painful for me (I've had five back surgeries, fused T4-L1 and L4-S1), but with the needles in I feel no pain (really - NONE). He puts 1" needles in my skull and back, and 5" needles (inserted 4") into my butt, hips, and thighs. Then he hooks them up to electricity and trickles the juice in for ten minutes. When it's done and he pulls out the needles I'm already to the point where I'm pretty much pain free (unless I do something stupid) for 4 to 6 hours. Hopefully that will get better as I get more treatments. Hope this is some help.

I have tried acupunture for my blacial plexus injury. I didn't really feel that much difference. I did it for a nuraber of visits. It could have been the acupunturists. He was also a chiropracter I couldn't relax enough for that to work. Be open.Give it a try. I know some people swear by it.
