Has any professional sports player even been late to a game?

In all the years in all the professional sports leagues, (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, MLS, etc.) has any player even been late to a game. If you can think of one, what sport did they play and did they start late or have to sit out the whole game?
 
derrick fisher was late to a playoff game vs the rockets last year... his wife gave birth... he came off the bench and did good when he played... pretty sure the jazz won too
