Has any of you got in trouble for not wearing bike helmets?

I am a minor in California and I am wondering if the cops actually get you in trouble. I know not wearing helmets are unsafe but
A) I hate how my helmet fits me
B) I look retarded cause i'm the only one in my age that wears them
C) My hair really gets messed up whenever i wear them

So, can you get by not wearing helmets?

Go to the bike shop and find something that fits well and something that you like. In most States it's against the law not to wear a helmet.

Lololol. I remember one time I got yelled at by an old lady for not wearing one. Now since I remembered it I'm lmao.
