Wasnt Don Schula the gm and head coach of the Dolphins during the 1970s. I believe he had full control back then.

Jimmy Johnson, who invented the position of Head Coach/ GM did it with the Dallas Cowboys and Bill Parcells has done this also.

Shanahan was, Chicago's coach is and he went to one, and the rest i dont know

Yes, Mike Shanahan with the Broncos (twice) is at least one. Also, Bill Cowher works with a personnel assistant rather than a GM, so he may officially have been a GM/Coach at the time.
