Harry Potter

Omg, i saw it last night, and I really honestly think Helena Bonham-Carter was sensational.

I wish that Bellatrix was in the books more often, because she played her character not only to perfection, but probably even better than that, if thats at all possible.

I was like, wow. :D:D:D:p

I was also really impressed by the actress who played Luna (her names slipped me) and Voldemort was really good too - i had a nightmare about him. :o

I have just come from seeing it and i thouraghly enjoyed it!
I thought Daniel Radcliffe did a great job as an emotionally torn up Harry ,also Rupert Grint was awesome as well!Looking forward to taking the kiRAB to see it next!

I saw the film in the IMAX in glasgow on thursday...now....the film was visually very good but i was rather disappointed at the amount of the book that has been cut.....they could have made the film longer seeing as it was the shortest film and the longest book

Glad I saw it on the IMAX though.....SUPERB!!!!!!

Another good point . I had forgotten about Slughorn's memory modifications when I wrote my early post . Don't know why just read the book a couple of months ago.

Haven't read the book but loved this film.

If anyone ever manages to make those cute kitten plates that Imelda Staunton had, they will be very very very very very very very rich indeed.

Iv'e read this thread and it's made me laugh. Iv'e not watched a single Harry Potter film or read any of the books. I take it this Harry Potter stuff is good then?

Also i'm confused about the books as there are children and adult books, so what is best to buy? Also how many books are there?

Possibly, although I'd have thought that the target audience (mid-teen) wouldn't have picked up on it. Perhaps you're right, his style just made that side of the book show up more than it did when I first read it.

if they have filemd loaRAB and not used it why cant they re reealse the film as a directors cut. not all of us have dvd you know where we can see the extras?

does anyone know if there are any extra scenes after the creidts finish and if so how long are the credits?:o :o :o

If you've read the books, the film will annoy you. Too much was cut and too much changed. Yes they had to but they went too far in attempt to make a 2 hour film (which was the wrong decision)

No. A book has to describe the scene, a film shows it therefore there wouldn't be any need for the length that you suggest. The Deathly Hallows should be about 3 hours long if they want to do the book justice.

I saw this earlier today. I liked it. It followed the book more than the last film did.

Disappointed that they made Cho the snitch when she wasn't in the book

what about maybe ther prophecy pertaining to neville? they were born on the same day. I think the general theme is if its in the films there clue to the final outcome after they have consulted Jk rowling on all the films. and she has given her input on what to leave in unless one of th emeetings she mayhave been hungover etc:eek:

Hmmm... I guess your friend wasn't paying attention (at least on that count) - as earlier in the film they showed a newspaper with her moving picture in, said what her name is and that she was a big supporter of Voldemort, and said she had escaped (or been busted out of - I forget) from the prison. Seemed pretty obvious exposition there.
