Got this today..... the extras seem a lot better than previous offerings, though is anyone else peeved they ditched the ace packaging of the previous too sets? They only give you a crummy standard dvd box!
 
Yes it is a bit annoying that they ditched the boxing.

The extra features are awful compared to previous years! They have completly over-used the head thingy. In the interviews with Jonny Vaughn, the "jokes" that the head make are completely unnessercery and they acually cut out bits were the cast laugh and stick them in when the head's talking! Watch the Heros one and you'll know what I mean. I must say the games like that quest and catch Scabbers are quite entertaining, no matter how impossible they are!
 
Can't say i'm too bothered about the extras, never really watch them! I'm always one for buying the cheapo one disc edition if it's available!

The change in packaging is slightly annoying tho'! On the other hand, much harder to damage which is probably a good thing given my ability to spill tea on most things!
 
Heh, I thought the extras offered were comparitivly better. I did actually laugh at the head thing, mainly because I'm a fan of Lenny Henry. However, as you mentioned it was blindingly obvious they spliced it all together after the interviews (which were much better and longer than previous offerings eg. on the 2nd film dvd)

I don't bother with games, but I like the documentaries. I know they try to keep the whole magic thing, but the dvd is so hard to navigate. I watched the deleted scenes without realising it!

Man they've changed the packaging, there goes the look of the films in my collection. Never understand why they change the packaing on film series it is so much better to have consistancy.
 
I found an Easter Egg! Press left on the intro for the Quest game and you go into a portait hall which you'd automatically get if you completed the game properly. Anyone found any others?
 
I get confused in those games and they don't og right.... they're so jerky and aren't very natural. Is it possible to follow Fred and George into the cellar of Honeydukes? I've only been in there once and got bored. :)

Ha ha, I got the Alien Quadrilogy yesterday...sort of blew Potty out of the water.
 
I nearly bought Harry Potter yesterday but didn't due to the plastic packaging, I assumed I'd be able to get the proper packaging elsewhere. I can't believe they'd change it halfway through a series, someone at 'design' neeRAB to get a big kick up the backside!

I might wait and see if they bring out a 'special edition' in 6 months time (not that their intention is to rip us all off or anything....has JK Rowling not got enough money yet??!)
 
Yeah Purity I got my copy from Woolies, and cos everything is in display cases I presumed i'd get the proper packaging when they sold me a proper version. That night I wondered whether to take it back as I though it was just that retarded shop!
 
The plastic case just looks crap next to the other two, and the picture don't line up on the sleeve now either. A bad idea by warner to do this just to save a few quid.
