Harry Potter book 7 to be two movies?

:eek:change - no way, book 7 was the way it had to be, just because it didn't end the way you envisaged - doesn't make it wrong!

I personally like the long film idea with an interval, wouldn't want to wait for the next episode.

I second that idea, two films will just never work, i'd be so peed off having to go back for the second half of the film 6 months later. I want to see everything that JK wrote in the book up on the screen as it won't make sense otherwise.

I'm in the camp that says splitting it into two movies will never happen, much as I'd like it to. Although from the film company's perspective, it's surely a good plan because they'll make so much more money.

If it doesn't happen, I agree with the poster who suggested making it into a four hour epic! Great idea!

cause if they see you with your own food and drink they can tell you to bin them before you get in the film or refuse entry (at some cinemas not all)

I actually think it's a bad idea, film 7 should be like book 7 and put an end to it all. 7 years at school, 7 books, 7 films. No question.

Actually I think book 7 will be easier than 4 or 5 to make into a 2 hour film, as long as they do justice to the ending I'll be happy.

2 films strings things out too long and I'm not sure there is enough plot in the first part of book 7 to make into a film on its own.

There is also the issue of getting everyone to sign another contract (as mentioned above) and the name (also mentioned above).

Quite hard to do that if you don't live in a town with three different cineams.

We've got one - Cineworld (formely UGC) which confiscate and bin food at the entrance.

Recenely Cineworld have also introduced a rule which means they can also stop people taking in big handbags which people can try and hide food in.

At the rate the stars are growing up the final film will end up looking like "The Play for Today - Blue Remembered Hills" from 1979.

A post for the older forum members who may remember this classic TV play.
