Harry Potter audiobook

It's not on Demonoid yet. :/ I'm listening to the Philosopher's Stone audio book. This is the first audio book I've ever listened to... it's amazing! So much fun!

I just finished reading it a few hours ago...but I've always listened to the audio books cause the dude that reads it is damn amazing. This needs to be put up pronto!

Yeah Jim Dail is amazing =) I have all of the HP's on CD in a folder except for the last one (they didn't have it at the book store at 12am) but I plan to get it as soon as I see it. A lot of books on CD are total shit but these are awesome =) I've always read the book before I listen to it though.

I drive to Detroit 4 or 5 times a year, and it's a 4 hour drive each way, so audiobooks help the miles go by. Not a lot to look at hauling ass down the expressways...

I have books 1-5 by Stephen Fry, book 6 by Jim Dale. I always hated listening to that book because I was so used to Stephen Fry's voice. I couldn't find Stephen Fry though so I had to manage. Now that I have oink I was able to get him for book 7 and if I listen to book 6 again I'll get his version too.

The UK and the US versions of the book are different in terms of vernacular. Only obvious if you compare them side by side e.g. in UK versions describing Hagrid's hands - big as dustbin lids, US version - big as trashcan lids. The stories are the same but making them coincide with the books might have something to do with the different versions? It's the only thing I can think of.

I have a couple of the Fry books and all the Dale versions, I can't see why they wouldn't just have one of them read both versions either, with the edits for local slang???
