Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix released date CONFIRMED!

Warner Brothers have confirmed that Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will be released on 13 July 2007!

An early announcement in my opinion but who cares!

WE FINALLY KNOW THE RELEASE DATE!

I am surprised that it is going to be released in summer 2007 as I thought it was going to be released around Winter 2007. It is going to massive summer for films in 2007 with Spiderman 3, The Simpsons Movie and Harry Potter the Order of the Phoenix all being released!
 
and thats very close to the book? Suprised they are not going for the 7.7.07. Thing as it is all about 7s. I hope it will be good but I know differently!lol
 
Suppose this way it gets two weeks in the top spot before "The Simpsons" destroys it, which, as much as people complain about the decreased quality of "The Simpsons" these days, we all know it will do.
 
Yes filming started in February! There will be a few months break soon to allow some young actors to take their GCSE exams. This includes Emma Watson aka Hermione Granger!

I wonder if the early release will result in the dvd being available for the Christmas market, instead of early the next year.
 
It's very likely. The Goblet of Fire DVD was released 4 months after the cinema release date so late November to mid December would be my guess. A few weeks before Xmas is pretty much a safe bet.
 
Maybe, but 7th July will be a sensitive date for the UK, as it's the anniversary of the London bombings, so I suspect they've played safe and put it back a week.....
 
Thats if Rowling finishes the book by the end of this year.
If the book comes out next year, i guess it will be released on the 31st of July which is Harry's fictional birthday (due to the london bombings anniversary on the 7th).

Anyway i'm looking forward to the order of the phoenix, it is a rather long book, but they should be able to pull it off. They did'nt do a bad job on the goblet of fire.
