Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I saw it last night. Really enjoyed it, although I haven't read the book since it first came out so I can't really remember how much is missing.

One thing which didn't really seem to fit though, for me, was when Harry used Snape's curse on Draco. Two students viciously fighting with magic, one ending the fight by using a dark curse on the other, and yet there seemed to be no consequences, even though Snape must have recognised the curse. Harry simply walked off. Can't remember the original version from the book, but I doubt Harry simply buggered off afterworRAB without consequence.

The Prisoner film cut a lot out of the book, HOWEVER it's still the best one so far. I don't understand why people whine so much about the cuts because in the end you've always got the book. Alfonso Cuaron is the only director with any class to have been involved. It defies sense why they hired David Yates for the last three. Maybe it's because, as a director with less influence (Order was his first proper film) the bigwigs at Warner Brothers can tell him what to do more. Whatever, after the Ministry of Magic scenes were IMO butchered, with Sirius's death having little impact at all, they should have turned to someone else.

Ah Will Young is good to be fair i forgot about him! Ah the script havent really done enough yet to be one of my favourites but i admit there good :D

And ofcourse all the HP films are up there with my favourites!

Congrats Samh! :D:D

I would take a cartoon series in a few years if it was something to keep it alive for the next generation.

Just brand new written adventures of say Harrys kiRAB or something.

Never know Jo might approve something like when things have died down a bit :D

It really does bring everyone together. You dont realise how much you need everyone until something like this happens. :)

Aww Sam :( All those thoughts will last for a while probably. Makes it even harder when you remember the little things that you will miss so much.

I know it sounRAB stupid, but the day my Granny died, I shut myself away, listened to music and read OOTP.

It helped so much in a way I cant even explain properly.

And again sounding a little daft, but I cried for hours and hours- and that helped too. I listened to the saddest songs and let it all come out.

Yea I dont really know how to describe it all too well but it worked in some ways.

An early night and try to get some sleep is probably the best thing. You will no doubt have a busy few days ahead- its always hard now as people have so much organising too do that they dont have time to grieve so its all bottled up until afterwarRAB- think thats why I felt a little better just escaping from everything and letting it all out straight away. :)

No, i don't mean Doctor Who. I think you were referring to Harry Lloyd in Human Nature/Family Of Blood in series 3 where he was playing a character called Baines.
DH is the short term HPers to refer to Deathly Hallows aka book 7. I know the abbreviations are similar.
I was wondering if we saw Tom Riddle in book 7 so that we may have 7 actors play him when Tom wanted to split his soul into 7.

Don't worry, if i get a TV series, which is probably unlikely but Peeves will definitely be in it. He is a genius creation.

I love Luna as well, and it was Luna who stunned Alecto Carrow, i remember her saying she had never stunned anyone other than in the DA and didn't realise it would be so loud.

Slips in quietly.....:o:o

Well...that was a long holiday! I was on here a few months back and then mysteriously disappeared...:o:D

Hope everyone has had a good few months...jesus, i haven't been on here for ages!!:(:(

so harry potter....what's that all about then??

haha I dont drink coffee either. Im just running off excitment! :D

I used to listen to Leakys the odd time but found the constant adoration of Melissa and Sue painful. Had to give up on them.

The big fansites are handy at times but god they are so up themselves its scary!

I prefer the smaller ones now- they are faster with the news too usually!

The Daily Snitcher is a fav of mine now!

Hey guys - you've perked up. I've been doing some work - not actually writing the script but trying to decide what i want to focus on and how this fits in with the story of the series etc. I've done a little summary of episode 2 as well, the series arc as well.

I don't like the films much. From the very first one they've ignored things that would have been easy to stick to from the books, and the longer they go on making them the more I feel that the adult actors do not particularly like the children/now young adult actors.

Though I can't blame them, because being an actor of the calibre of Alan Rickman and having to act with the likes of Emma Watson and Daniel Ratcliffe must be frustrating to say the least.

The older the young actors get, the worse their acting becomes in my opinion. It's a pity they were cast for their looks rather than their ability.

Gonna go see it for the fourth time today, it gets better everytime i watch it, i agree its a shame only the begining is in 3d but tbh any film on a screen that size always seems spectacular whether its in 3d or not!

When Dumbledore drank it, it made him very weak, and he had an insatiable appetite for water. The only place you can get water on that island is in the lake, as proved when Harry tried the Aguamenti charm and the water disappeared. When anybody tries to drink from the lake, the Inferi are disturbed and drag you to your death. Dumbeldore managed to escape as he had Harry there to help him.
