Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Oh yeah very true actually... that is quite annoying :(

I can see it being Sara V Lisa next week, i will actually be gutted, i would refuse to take sides, either way would be a bitter blow :(

Wow a lot of activity in here all of a sudden.

Thanks everyone for your links, pics, interviews... and a big thank you to JimmyJoe. I read them all - couldn't resist. :p

I think we just have to accept the changes they make to the films. I see the books and films as separate entities now, it makes life easier. :)

No mention of Spinner's End in the reviews, I notice. We've seen a pic though.

And how bloody jammy are those at mugglenet who got to see the film.

Ah thats OK then being a little Catholic boy myself... ;) :D

LOL i don't think i will... i will be chased out of Ireland!

Ah yeah i never thought about that... yeah i remember she had plain hair in HBP because of the whole Lupin thing. See atleast in one aspect they have kept the film true to the book :D

I'd certainly agree that Luna's perfect, and Barty Jnr wasn't quite right, but for me Moody was spot-on.

As for Dumbledore, I've read a lot on these forums that people don't like Gambon's Dumbledore for whatever reasons, I've never really understood it.

I always thought Harris was a little TOO frail, and never really carried across that, while old, he was supposed to be a fearsome opponent to Voldemort, Gambon on the other hand added a bit of weight and menace to the humour and madness, something I've always read from the books.

The greatest Wizard of our time had to have a bit more about him than just being a doddery old fool IMHO.

I would add Hagrid, McGonnagal, and Snape to the "Perfect" list.
