Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I totally understand where you are coming from. :)

If you go back and watch PS and COS, they have a great magical and fantasy feeling to them and a certain feel good charm which i adore. The films Chris Columbus directed were perfect adaptations of the first two books because the books themselves were not dark or complicated in story or characterisation when you compare them to book 3 and onwarRAB.

I think Chris Columbus has got some unfair and unnecessary criticism over his 2 films. He did his job - which was to outline and introduce the world of Harry Potter to the movie audience. And we have to remember, the trio were just kiRAB at that stage so there was no need for a darker or sinister feel to Hogwarts or the characters.

More :D I didn't expect all this today!

The movie opens with a scene from OOTP, of Dumbledore and Harry at the ministry on the night Sirius dies, standing in front of a barrage of flash bulbs. Then it cuts to an interior shot of an ultra modern office building overlooking the Millenium Bridge. There are dementors flying through the air and then the bridge starts to wave violently and then collapses with lots of people on it.

In the next scene we see Harry reading about the bridge in the Daily Prophet at a tube-side coffee shop in Little Whinging. He flirts with the waitress and asks her what time she gets off work. But he is distracted by a passing train. When the train finally clears out, we see Dumbledore standing importantly on the platform. Harry joins him and immediately he is whisked away (side-along apparition) to Slughorn’s house.

Ah good good, i know, i am still yet to forgive them for moving it back *goes in a huff*.

Ah right there with you :o Twilight took over A LOT for me, saw the film, then read all the books. Forgot all about good old Haz Paz.

Yeh I suppose we cant be too fussy, i just want anything they have made us wait long enough!

Yeh i'm alright, same old same old really :D Lurking on here occasionally for old times sake!

:D Finite Incantatum ;)

ergh is exactly the right word to use. I feel sorry for Nicole...Rex is a control freak!!

Bless Lisa and her likening Will Young/Gareth gates to Stu and Dale:p:p

Well said. If that perosn is yawning they cna get off to sleep:D

the bridge bit was not needed as they could have flashed it up as headline.

But why leave out the Dursleys yet again:mad: and it almost like sirius black did not die in the last film there was a element of continuation. So they needed to leave his will in as well as dursley house of protection and why voldemort cant touch him there. instead we get harry calling himslef a tosser in the cafe?

This book about dumbledore spilling his guts and we find out what bugging voledemort on both occassion it could have been done better IMHO

i see what you mean, i will probably this year just keep adapting the first book because i want to kinda change it quite a bit so that we see more of the secondary characters as well as Harry, Ron and Hermione, whilst still trying to keep the mystery of the books and what happens at the end.
