Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Mikey does seem weird - have any of you guys seen him pore himself a drink? Does he feel the rim to know how full the glass is and surely there is a way to tell if he is blind by the way he eats. I saw him eat the chilli and he didn't seem to need assistance in finding it on the table or to know where it was in relation to his mouth.

It was said earlier that Rhys Ifans is going to be playing Luna's dad in the seventh/eighth? films, and i was thinking, he'd probably suit the role of Mrs Figg's husband (now i can't think of the name right now) but i'm not even sure that he is even in the films?

Michael is Irish :) and I agree performingmonk the Gambon hating is so boring now. He admitted he hasnt read the books so he clearly just does as he is told- so blame the directors I say! Not that I have a problem. I found OOTP Dumbledore to be perfect.

And Bill Nighy as Dumbledore IMO would be awful. He would have been a fantastic as Scrimgeour or even better as Greyback I think.

I have decided from now on I'm not gonna watch any more featurettes/sneak previews as I dont want the film to be spoiled for me!

Welcome hpgirl :)

Harry and Ginny doesn't work in the books though either so what can they do? Ginny isn't written in much depth so whats Bonnie meant to do with her? Indeed, as Hermione is avoiding the obvious too, what else is Emma to do with Hermione except add a few layers of armour?

The whole thing is written to artificially avoid Harry and Hermione ending up together so is not surprising if it doesn't work completely. Its also got to set up Hermione and Harry's closeness (they are the unbreakable bond) for the next two films which would look odd too if Ginny/Harry was more central to this film.

Since this is a the Movies forum, I think it's best to assume people are at movie pace. No point in treading on toes in what should be a safe zone for "movie only" folk.

Going back to the Tower, I remember after the HBP book came out I was a member on HPANA and they had a whole trial of Severus Snape. It was very gripping and professionally done too. I kept the transcript. I probably will read it again after the film.
