And I don't understand why people want the films to lose all the key parts of the plot. RAB - what's more important - Emma Watson's eyebrows and snogging or the horcruxes and the background to Voldemort?

No wonder WB keep on doing it when people like you think it's so marvellous.

And YAWN yourself.
 
I agree - there was no way to finish HP that would satisfy all readers,
but the epilogue suited it all - giving a little further info, without writing out everyones
life story for the previous 19 years!

I am not looking forward to DH on the big screen - are there enough hankies in the world?! :cry:

Just a little additional thought, I know a lot of people hate that Harry & Ginny got
together, but I always felt that it was just right - no giant fanfare, no fuss, just a solid
loving thang! :)
 
I really love that picture of the gang in London, clearly after Apparating/Disapparating from Bill and Fleur's wedding. They look like grown ups.

It kinda bothers me that they didn't show the sixth-years learning to Apparate, because of how much it happens in DH.

Really, if they make Deathly Hallows good, and it has the potential to be great, it could make up for OotP, HBP (and GoF, to a lesser extent) being... underwhelming.

What if they called them volumes, instead of 'parts' -- like Kill Bill. I think it rolls off the tongue easier.

Say it aloud; "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part I/II" or "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Volume I/II"?
 
My girlfriend and I went to see this, before the cinema's are fully of kiRAB, and were quite surprised how quiet and attentive the entire audience remained.

As for the movie itself, we simply could not take Dumbledore seriously, the chronic way that Gambon was camping it up in every scene. "Take my hand, Harry" had different connotations than in the book.

Snape, as always, was tremendous, as was Belatrix, and the young Riddle. I also loved the understated, serene performance by the girl playing Ginny Weasley. But, where was Kreacher? Also, why was it necessary to to alter the story so that HP merely hid, rather than being stunned into immobility as Dumbledore was murdered?

Hot is wicked! I Apologise is a grower- having Pharrell Williams on a debut track is impressive and would give an added boost to promo for them! :cool:
 
There have been quite a few for me who have been different. Barty Crouch Jr. and Sr. Mad Eye, 'new' Dumbledore... Most are okay though. However, the only character who is exactly how I pictured them (including voice) is Luna. I think she is spot on :D

& I know! Pansys been in the books since book 1 yet we've never even been told of her existence in the films!
