Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Yeah I was thinking maybe Harry discovers the mirror in Grimmauld Place when he finRAB out it's his or something? Actually... does he even go in Grimmauld in HBP? Re-read needed :D

Ah I suppose so :p
If Luna had a brother im sure you would be the first to audition :D

I expect it will be MAD! lol lots of tiny clips all thrown together just! :D

OotP teaser was fantastic so yes they will have to beat that!!

Deffo I expect Broadbent will dominate press like the amazing Imelda Staunton did last year as Umbridge!

Ohh yes Greyback!

Have you alll heard about the....

xmas scenes at the Weasleys that aren't in the book?

Me too :D Love her- and I feel bad saying that! :D

Ok yes I was gutted we lost so much from the books- BUT:p
judging it seperately (as I like to do :D) I think the last half hour of OOTP is amazing!

The scene withe the propecies where they all came crashing down, then the fight in the Veil room when the Order appeared followed by that battle with Dumbledore and Voldermort...wow!! That was like nothing we've seen in Potter before! :D

Judge them seperately and you always appreciate the big things more :p

In an interview a few pages back I think it was Dan who was talking about dumbledores funeral, and how it was filming it etc for the sixth film... so... I doubt he would have talked about it if it was axed?

It feels that the pace of news is just right. I get to the point where I'm
gagging for some new tidbit, and then something is thrown out into the
ether for us! :)

I think that what's been excluded to date from the films has been valid. The films
can never capture everything, and that's ok by me, the book reading experience is
supposed to be different from the movie watching one! I view them, as you said Lisa, as entirely separate from each other.

I too loathed the SPEW storyline but knew it formed part of Hermione's maturing sensibilities regarding 'lesser' beings - she also was the conscience (sp?) for others
and it all feeRAB into Kreachers part in DH.

Just as an aside, as I know this is a HBP, but has anyone else noticed the little
sigh that Bellatrix gives when she escapes from Azkaban in TOOTP? There's maniacal laughter
followed by this little satisfied sigh. It's just brilliant, adn so utterly fitting! Anyway, off tangent now! :)

Hi. Yes the last film is definitely in two parts. And i don't know if talking about when the movie comes out but yes it comes out next summer in July. Also you can ask as many questions as you want. :)

GOF was great tonight. Its just getting me more excited about HBP. :D :)

They have to look inconspicuous; they already file into some manky old public toilet everyday in their hundreRAB, how would it look if they were dressed in robes and cloaks? :)

lol! I just look past such silly minor things.

Why let them bother you? It hardly affects the plot.

Its no different to Harrys eye colour.

So trivial its not even worth noticing imo!

i am always amused by people who bemoan film adaptations of books as "rubbish" because there are chunks of the book missing. this seems to be something that happens especially with the harry potter films.

of course there must be huge elements missing, the media of film cannot possibly hope to coherently convey every idea of the novels within the two-hour or so timescale that movies have.

the beauty of books is that the reader can pick them up and put them down at will, reading as much or as little as he or she likes at any time. a feature presentation does not have that luxury. a balance must be made to keep the central plot strand, and any other sub-plots that can be fit into the running time. the trick is to get as much in, but not have the film become boring for the audience.

also, these films are expensive to make, so the producers cannot just craft a film that caters for die-hard fans of the books only. the films have to appeal to casual viewers and be entertaining for people who don't read the novels. they have to make money.

i really enjoyed "Half Blood Prince", i watched it last night. it did not require me to have read the novels to enjoy it, as i can relate the events and characters in it to the previous movies.

I just love frienRAB to bits. the bit that sticks out in my head is when rachel says ''YOU FELL ASLEEP'' in that funny voice uhh but i could just go on for a whole month about all the funny bits that there is :D

Well I think that:

Everyone should stop putting their comments as spoilers.

Because:

I doubt anyone who genuinely doesn't know what happens in the books is still reading this thread.

And:

It makes the thread very hard to read.

But:

I'm only joking. I don't really care!;)
