I wouldn't say it's necessarily a bad thing, so many child stars get to their early 20s and decide they don't "need" their parents any more, only to melt down or fade out of public interest (the latter possibly by choice) within a matter of months.
A parent will always be the only person you can rely on to tell you the absolute 100% truth, and a young actors' life must be so full of bulls**ters I'd hope Daniel Radcliffe would be sensible enough to keep his dad in tow for a little while longer.
Sure, you can call them "pushy parents," but I guarantee you if you give me the name of an international sports star or A-list film star, 90% of the time there'll be a "pushy parent" somewhere in the background (of course there are exceptions).
