OO just downloaded the two links off the Hope appreciation thread, thanks much for them! Just listening to the full version of Hot at the moment, the Xfactor programme is boring me!
 
I am pretty sure WB don't own the characters or anything other than the film rights and they have to keep Jo in the loop at all times. I think there is very good conditions for them to own the film rights as well including they are not allowed to change the characters dramatically or they are not allowed to deviate alot from the books and to allow Jo to be the creative control behind the script and the films.
Just as i think EA Games, don't own anything other than the games rights which i think there will be conditions from Jo not WB on them. yes, they'll want to work closely with WB but WB have no rights over them.

Really must crack on and start reading Chamber of Secrets if I wish to read the whole series before the film comes out...

This is how I picture it too! Harry on his own, over Dobby's grave, darkness, rain starts to pour, camera zooms out in the sky, Harry standing there getting smaller... Kind of highlights the main themes; death, hope (or lack of) etc... I'll be in tears I reckon!
