Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I'm getting really excited about this film and I haven't even seen HBP yet :o

I'm really looking forward to seeing Helena playing Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix :D I think they could do a really good job if they do it right. Helena's a great actress and she'll do the scene justice if the script's right.

When is part 1 scheduled for release? :D

Yes Deathly Hallows filming begins Feb 09 and will last for a year- both being filmed at the same time! :)

This, I agree with. They can't pretend to want to cater to the first time audience anymore, because half of what was happened was based on the assumption of prior knowledge.

At the penultimate film, there's no time to waste on such things. If they have to, I'd prefer a Star Wars style scrolling text beginning, to just putting in romance to make it a better standalone film. Why would anyone want to make a sequel a standalone?

In any case, if they had included 'The Other Minister', then everything would have been explained. I wouldn't mind a 4 hour film, if it was paced well enough.

that second mtv article made me angry at the end when they're criticising it...not enough Draco...no mention of horcruz...bla bla bla....I don't think anyone on here as criticised it at all. We've only stated that there isn't anything of hermione etc....IT'S A TEASER TRAILER GOD DAMMIT....

I saw that on tv this morning! Was not expecting it at all, my little sister just started yelling that some Harry Potter people were on tv then i saw those two!
I love that clip, i have good feelings about this film now!
 
That is what is irritating me most about the way this film has been made into a teen romcom; we have this brilliant fantasy film series, and this film could have been brilliant explaining about the Horcruxes, but they have shoehorned the teen nonsense in.

The Horcruxes are, excuse the pun, the very crux of the whole series; the reason Harry and Voldemort have such an affinity, why Voldemort survived in Godric's Hollow, and how Harry can eventually defeat him.
 
I actually laughed when I read that in the book.

and I think Tonks is in the film but only as a very small part.
