I totally get what you mean. But my view was that although Dumbledore was angry, he knew that there were better ways of dealing with it than violence (I know it wasn't that bad but still). Whenever he was angry he lost the twinkle from his eye and kind of radiated it rather than express it physically.
And although I saw the film first, my views on the characters are 100% from the books. For example, when I read PS I don't picture an 11 year old (or however old they were at the time) Daniel, Emma and Rupert. I picture my own versions of Harry, Hermione and Ron (and all the other characters).
