Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Hey guys!! Just back from outer mongolia!!

no, I've just been really busy at uni..second year's no fun :(:(:( I couldn't commit to 20 posts a day on here or however many i was doing before.

I'm supposed to be doing an assaignment now....but i'm having a mini break!

I have seen the new trailer...and i love it!! But...i'm still angry at no HP until next summer....i'll be old and 20 then!! :eek

How has everyone been?? :D Bless you all for remembering me!! And damm you Sam for taking over me in the number of posts competition thingimy!! I will reclaim my crown!!

A lot of people (myself included) thought it would cut when Ron comes back and pulls Harry out of the lake. I think that's (or somewhere near there) the most natural place for the first movie to end.

Awww that's horrible. :(

Great isn't it? It's the excitment and anticipation building. :D This thread will be a lot more busy nearer the time of release and finally, when the movie is actually released.

She's not in my top 5 but I do find her character very interesting and I think a psychiatrist would have a lot of fun with her :D

As for Rodolphus Lestrange,
he was hurt during the 'Seven Potters' escape but I don't think he was mentioned after that. So he was either killed in the final battle, arrested and is in Azkaban or is on the run. I think I may have read an interview with JKR where she said he was in Azkaban but I may have just made that up :o

Sorry, I disagree.

Why should those of us who made the effort to read the books and discover the true essence of HP, have to keep schtum purely for the sake of appeasing all the casual fans and hangers-on?

This reminRAB me of an old gf who complained about the ending of Titanic being spoiled:rolleyes::D

Hello all, sorry if this is old news but I've just been reading about HBP on wiki and it said that Dumbledores funeral has been axed from the film as 'it didn't fit' with the rest of the film:confused: How does it not fit?? I just dont get it! Why do the film makers have to change the story so much and why has JKR not had more input or say in what should happen.
I really hope that the next 3 films are not kiddified and dumbed down. :(

Having seen it again last WeRAB it really struck me just how effective the contrast between the trio and Draco was. On the one hand, you had three teenagers whose (Harry aside, obv) main strife in the film was romantic, having to deal with typically teenage worries. On the other, you had Draco, same age, same schooling etc having to deal with being practically forced into murder. I haven't explained it well, but I hope its clear...

I also liked the contrast between Harry and Draco's duel in this film compared to the one from Chamber of Secrets. No more tickling hexes, it was aiming to hurt properly. Shows how the characters have changed and developed and grown up in just a few short years.
