Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Just because. Apart from the fact we know the book is set in the 90's there is nothing in the novels to suggest it is really, i guess it could be set anytime really (as in the past few decades or the next couple of decades). It wouldn't make sense to set the movies in the 90's.

I'll be turning over to BBC1 at nine o'clock. :D It's going to be a depressing final episode, though. Hankies at the ready.

Thanks for the link. Cool pics. I especially like the one of Harry in pensive (I said pensive, not pensieve :p) mood. :)

I think that was a lead on from OOTP. At the end of OOTP we saw Dumbledore and Harry being photographed at the Ministry because of Voldemort's return... so it was going back to that briefly before being brought to the 'present' a few weeks later. Also, it may have been Harry remembering the incident whilst reading the Daily Prophet in that underground cafe.

One month to go! Can't wait! :D

I am thinking of re-reading the 6th book - just to get in the mood for the movie. But i will feel slightly let down if i do read the book and then watch the film straight after because scenes will be changed or completely left out and i will be sitting in the cinema, saying "what happened to that scene?" or "No! That was supposed to happen". :p

It is difficult to please the fans of the books because a lot is changed for the movies (i expect it now) so we've got to enjoy the movies for what they are.

But i am looking forward to the Deathly Hallows as it will be in two parts so i imagine much more of the book will be added to the films content.

Its just Daniel is a man now not a little kid but his father still goes everywhere with him, I have met him loaRAB as i am an autograph collecter and his father is joined to him. Even the other night , his dad was on set, they was sitting in a club place in between shooting and even when Dan went across the road to film for 5 mins, there was his dad going accross the road with him. And yet Daniel is what 20 now? You never see Emma or Ruperts parents around because they are simply not needed now. Unlike when they was kiRAB. And the same when Daniel was in theatre in London and in New York his father was right by his side. I have never known a more controlling father and yet Daniel cant seem to say go away im old enough to be on my own now , i no longer need you holding my hand.

Spoiler tags just in case:

Anyone know who's face will get mangled instead of Bill's? Or will that scene be cut out? It's a pretty big scene as the news of Dumbledore's death is announced at the beRABide table.

My degree put me off acting basically! It was all I ever wanted to do, but because we hardly got to do any performing I lost my confidence. So now I am behind the scenes, which is actually pretty cool, because you are more in the loop on things and you get to see bits of everything!

Saw this tonight; just got back from a screening. A lot of the parts I loved but some were a bit... meh (the ending!!!).

All in all I thought it was good - a very enjoyable movie. :D Would have liked to see a bit more Deatheater action though...

They couldn't really have Bill and Fleur because it would mean introducing a 'new' character into the films.

Ron: This is my brother Bill who for the last 7 years has been on the moon...oops forgot to mention he existed:o

Definately..keep posting!!!!

I've never been as excited for a film since GoF!!!!! November just seems lightyears away!!! I'm so glad we have the trailer to look forward to....some actual footage!!

I'm hoping it'll be OotP like and will actually reveal some of the plot etc. just can't wait!!!

where is everyone today????

On the Dumbledore subject, I think that Dumbledore's aggression isn't down to the actor, it's down to the person who wrote those scenes. Michael Gambon doesn't have any control over how they want him to portray Dumbledore. I think he's doing brilliantly. I prefer him happy or wise though, not angry. I think that he feels he is like Dumbledore, so doesn't bother to work on the calm side.

However, Harris was the perfect Dumbledore. He spoke in the way I imagined Dumbledore to speak, he was calm and wise, just as JKR discribed in the book. RIP Richard Harris.
