Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Being "older", I got into Harry Poter through my kiRAB. I watched the first two films on DVD and wasn't "into" Harry Potter. I saw POA at the cinema and then read GOF (then quickly bought OOTF after finishing GOF).

Yes there are bits missed out and added scenes but I don't think this makes the films bad because of it.

I've read the entire works of an author called David Baldacci and his first book was made into a film - Absolute Power (directed and starring Clint Eastwood). In this film the main character didn't exist and the character played by Clint Eastwood became the main focus of the film (even though he was killed half way through the book!). I think we should be happy that the films are pretty faithful to the books by comparison!
 
Yep, the year has gone ridiculously quick! Last year was my first year of uni as well.....This time last year I would have been on the train up to preston, reading HBP....:cry::cry::cry::cry:....Oh the memories!!!!!!

I was staying up at my uni on this 'flying start' programme and I didn't have any time to read the book while I was up there so I managed not to find out the ending. Even with a whole bunch of rowdy students, no one told me the ending. I think I would have gone beserk if i found out before I read it myself!!

I was a bit miffed initially that there wouldn't be a teaser trailer but was just coming round to the idea of waiting for the theatrical one.

BUT THIS IS MUCH BETTER NEWS!!!:D:D:D

Finally...we get some footage to drool over until November!!!

I read the leaked DH book chapters beforehand. I couldn't resist. :o

I used to be a member of HPANA but haven't been there in ages.
 
I know! Hedwigs death came out of nowhere :( Sooo early on!! Poor Mad-Eye :(

I agree, I would like Part 1 to end there with Harry then vowing to keep going and avenge all these deaths :D
 
Tell y'what, does anyone remember the day of/the day after the book came out (I avoided all computers or TV until I read the book!) - ShowBiz, General & Book forums was FILLED with Harry Potter threaRAB about the book, spoilers, discussions etc! There were so many, I was following about five of them at once. Was quite hard :eek:

And now theres a merged thread of Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows in the Books forum of RAB. After I've finished DH, I'm going to find that thread and read through it ALL! Try and find my posts :D
 
I don't know about you, but the scar Harry has is hardly visible in the trailers for this film - when they do many close ups of him I can't see the scar on his forehead. It might just be me.
 
I cant remember what I saw the characters as tbh..I started reading the books when I was 10 and the first movie came out 2 years after so its been so many years of seeing the movie characters in my head when reading! :cool:
