I understand that to an extent, but I'm currently listening to the Audio books (such a joy) of the whole series and although his reaction isn't THAT extreme, he's certainly not happy about Harry's name turning up.
Personaly I take that as a piece of artistic license, and it gets across just how strongly Dumbledore feels about keeping Harry out of harm's way, it's not as if, in the books, he just gives a little chuckle and says "well, boys will be boys."
I think Dumbledore WOULD do that (give harry a bloody good rollicking), is it possible some people's impression of the character has been slanted by Harris' "lovely old man" version of Dumbledore?
Personally I prefer Gambon's "fearsome yet freindly" version, I find him a bit more Gandalfesque.
