Okay so they missed Riddles backstory out and Luna doesnt commentate the Quidditch match, which upset me but apart from that it was really good.
Some sound Comedy performances from Grint and Cave, which were contrasted perfectly by the tense drama and sometimes uncomfortable fear of Feltons Malfoy in the room of requirement with the vanishing cabinet, his reluctance becomes obvious when he cries into a basin and the audience almost feel sorry for him at that point, as he shows of a vulnerable side we've never seen before. (and yes Sulliven_Lane he did look hot in the bathroom scene) and IMO him and Alan Rickman really stole the show, especially in the showdown between the Death Eaters and Dumbledore where you could see the reluctance and fear of Draco, which again was contrasted with Gambons' Dumbledores fearlessness and Snapes eagerness to get the job done quick.
Rupert Grints love potion sequence was definitely the funniest part of the film, which involves him hugging Slughorn and falling off a sofa after confessing his 'love' for Romilda Vane, to which Harry replies 'Have you ever actually met her?'. Rupert and Jessie make a BRILLIANT double act, her obsessiveness matching his willingness to recieve in perfect comedy harmony.
Radcliffe himself seems very comfortable with his role of Harry now and provides a brilliant, funny and slightly physcotic piece of acting after he swallows the vial of 'Liquid Luck' in an attempt to obtain Slughorns memory. He appears bouncy with all the symptoms of an amphetamine kick, which is funny to watch, especially when he leaves the common room with a very cheerful 'HI!' to 2 complete strangers. Another amusing moment is Aragogs 'memorial' where he just has this goonish smile on his face(still due to the liquid luck), it's impossible not to have a little giggle at. Overall you can see the vast improvement Daniel has made and he has become pleasant to watch.
Watsons still wiggling her eyebrows and Bonnie Wright's Ginny seems to lack character.
The attack on the burrow, although not mentioned in the book is well done, Helena Bonham Carter does not dissapoint as the mental Bellatrix and her cheerful screams of 'I KILLED SIRIUS BLACK!' make you question her sanity all the more. And Julie Walters' face as her home goes up in smoke is believeable as it is heartbreaking.
I won't spoil Harry and Dumbledore in the cave but I will say that the special effects team should be very proud of themselves.
Cannot wait for the next one!
