I like how the Malfoys, who always talked big, were so unhappy with the return of Voldemort. Lucius was 26 at the end of the war and it's not a huge jump to say that he'd have joined young (war been going 13 years) and wasn't really into the Death Eater idea. His life was great after Voldemort fell and he was very happy. When Voldemort goes off him (OOTP debacle and finding out about the destroyed Horcrux) and takes over his house, leaves him in Azkaban and sets his son up to die.. well it's pretty clear in Book 7 that all three of them want out.
 
I know but they've reworked so much of the other books that i'm thinking they could anything. I have a felling they might not do that too much with DH because it is being made with 2 films.
What do you think will be cut with HBP - apparently Slughorn's xmas party isn't being axed because they've cast sanguini who was the vampire and he only appears at that party.
 
I do see what you mean. Maybe the reviewer is a new convert to all things Harry Potter, and that's why they were gushing in the review.




There's a whole chapter in 'The Life and Lies of Albus Dumbledore' that portrays the young Grindelwald and Dumbledore and their relationship... so I suppose we'll see it in the DH film.


On another note, I too will be giving Half-Blood Prince another read before the film. :D
 
BTW i didn't mean offence by LOL at your hair :o, i use LOL too much. :)

I hope she pisses off, i'm fed up with her face already, and i tend to avoid interviews with her lol.

Exactly, we are right rebels, not liking being told what to do! :D

I'm still not sure what to make of Shakespeare at all... it's too... blah. And yes i'm an English student clearly ;) :p I remember doing Much Ado for a year for AS level, and i didn't enjoy it at all, but earlier this year sometime the oppurtunity came about to see it in London and it had Zoe W (sp?) who played Madame Hooch in HP
 
I cried too but when he came into the Great Hall leading the House-elves i did crack a smile! I loved the fact that the first half of the battle was wizarRAB against wizarRAB and the second-half was centaurs, house-elves and wizarRAB against DEs and Lord Voldy.
I loved that the house-elves stood up for themselves against the DEs

Apparently after writing one of the final chapters she did down a mini-bottle of champagne and just cried and then went home.
I know how would you choose. For some reason i feel it was right that it was Fred. I have a feeling it was Fred who nearly always started the taunting and joking and George joined in. And anyway, I'm glad he realised that Percy did come round in the end and died with a smile on his face.
 
Writers/authors have the luxury of showing a character at any point in time, at any age. Film makers face a choice between lashings of make up and special effects to alter the age of a character, which may be unconvincing, or casting another actor to play a younger or older version of a character.

Oh, well, it's a cool pic anyway. Lucius looks like Lord of the Manor, doesn't he. :p OT but I've just watched an episode of The West Wing with Jason Isaacs. I had forgotten all about him being in the show. :D
