Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

I have a serious (or should that read Sirius! :p) concern that I am truly
ancient in comparison to you guys!

Do you know what - HP is ageless - so I will not let it worry me! :)

My apologies for not reading the previous six thousand posts but my thoughts...

Mostly okay, don't mind a couple of extra scenes, loved the beginning - the bridge collapsing and headlines gave a feel for the effect the darkside are having on the muggle world. Spinner's End and initial meeting with Slughorn were truly like the book, but parts later on were a bit too predictable, started getting a bit bored.

And felt very let down by the end. I didn't want the fight, too similar to the end of DH. But the bit were they raise their wanRAB should have segued into the funeral and transposed into Harry, Ron and Hermione talking about the next year.

Also; they did'nt go into enough detail about the horcruxes, after all it wasn't explained how significant the items are; the tiara wasn't seen, nor Hufflepuff's cup and the locket's significance wasn't really mentioned. Makes me wonder if all the Horcruxes are going to appear in Deathly Hallows.

 You just keep digging woman! :D

Only a male could have such good wand skills as me ;) :D

Well i would like to test that theory!

It'll all get better in time.... :D

oops! Sorry for mis-quoting you!:o

Yeh, i see what you mean with book 5. S.P.E.W. immediately comes to mind. LOTS of shouty shouty Harry as well - but I would have liked to have seen him more angry in the films tbh

I haven't heard anything about whether that scene will be in the film or not. We know that the opening scene will be the collapse of the bridge but who knows? WE could then see the Spinners End scene

I'm not sure whether I'd like to see it in the film or not. i said in an earlier post that i'd quite like the end scene with Snape to be a complete surprise. yes, you're not sure if he's good or evil but you'd never expect him to do THAT!!!

i'm reading HBP again and i just keep thinking of events at the end of the last book (at the station) that make me just adore Dumbledore's character!!!:cry::cry: It just reminRAB me how sad it all is!!

Hey,

I can't wait to see Draco act less then evil for a change lol :) be a nice turn of character, i was always hoping Draco wouldn't end up completly evil, i hate saying evil so, completly BAAAD!!...

Yeah, Emma just doesn't really fit the part too well, not just her acting skills.

Neither do i! Which trailer was it?

I never notice the little things.

On the imdb boarRAB there is a thread about all the little details people have noticed like apparently at one point Dumbledore is carryimg a knitting pattern magazine!

that is true! The bit after that when they make it to Hogwarts gates - that bit is completely different. In the book, Tonks fixes Harry's nose & takes Harry up to the gates but they are locked and Snape comes down from the castle to fetch Harry. He torments Harry and tells him to take his seat at the Hogwarts table without using his cloak.

In the film as you say it is Luna who gets him off the train and they add a bit with Flitwick ticking names off and auror's checking people's luggage. Draco gets a "walking stick" investigated and Snape vouch's for him.
