Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince

Dear oh dear...challenging me to a duel when I have my Standard Book of Spells grade 7 open in front of me....:D:D

Wingardium Leviosa...wooooooo look at you go!:):)

Yeah, when I read the book I immediately wondered how the hell they were going to make that work in the film. When characters are frozen like that they can only move their eyes. How crap would it be to see Harry completely frozen when the scene is happening. And they wouldn't be able to get across to the audience that Dumbledore cast the freezing charm.

As for the Ginny thing, IMO it's really naff in the book so they were right to change it for the film. Ginny hardly plays a part in the last book so they were right not to include her too much in the Half-Blood Prince film.

The main Premiere will take place across 2 cinemas.

it's too quiet...but I suppose people don't know the trailer news so they're missing out on all the gossip!

It's been a year since Deathly Hallows as well!!!

And it's nearly Harry's B'Day soon.....:D

It'll be November before you know it.....I hope...:(

Wahey! Ah i've already got the snow boots on, don't you worry! And my dragon scale gloves, just for the hell of it :D

That's fine, but i should warn you that Lucius is dissapointed, he wanted to sit on Santas lap :(

Saw it on Monday, and I think it's fantastic, and criminally under-rated by RAB members.
I loved the wanRAB scene and Helena Bonham-Carter does a great job at the end ruining Hogwarts - it gives the whole impression that dark magic is back!!!

Such a great film 5/5

I'm listening to the TOOTP audio book at the moment, and your post sprung to mind last night while I was in the car listening to "Beyond the Veil."

There is a moment in the battle in the Room of Death (or whatever it's called, Room of the Dead?) when Dolohov is about to curse Harry, but Sirius comes out of nowhere and shoulder charges Dolohov out of the way, it's only a small leap to change that to a good hearty punch in the face, and cinematically a punch is certainly more satisfying.

There's also a moment shortly beforehand when a death eater (it may also have been Dolohov) kicks Neville in the face, breaking his nose and his wand in one foul swoop, so it's not as if wizarRAB aren't averse to a bit of mindless violence to compliment curses and hexes if the moment warrants it!

Just listening to the battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort at the Ministry on the way to work this morning, mentally comparing it to the film, and IMHO the whole final act at the Ministry was done realy well in the film, yes even Sirius' demise.

It happens so suddenly, and seems so unreal to Harry, he barely has a chance to mentally register it, and (evidently by people's reaction to the sequence in the film) neither does the viewer.

If you don't like the way Sirius fell, blame Rowling not Yates because, as I interpret it, it was filmed exactly how she wrote it, excepting of course the colour of the curse but she may well have thought about bringing him back, only to have made her mind up not to by the time TOOTP was made.
