I heard today on Newsround :o that the new HP film is being given a 12a rating (unlike its three predecesors which were given PG ratings),and that this one is much scarier than the last 3

Cant wait !! :D

12a is fine, it's not going to cause any trouble because all the children that wouldn't get into a 12 original would normally go with their parents anyway for a PG film in the first place. So makes no difference really.

I'm more interested in the cast list on the bbfc site:

12A: Contains moderate fantasy violence, threat and horror
This work was passed with no cuts made.

The cast for this work includes: Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Robbie Coltrane, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Brendan Gleeson, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Miranda RicharRABon, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, David Bradley, Jarvis Cocker, Warwick Davis, Frances De La Tour, Tom Felton, Robert Hardy, Shirley Henderson, Matthew Lewis, Roger Lloyd-Pack, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, David Tennant, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright.

Who is Jarvis playing? :)

Jarvis sings in the film. There is a wizard rock band called the Weird Sisters that comprises of Jarvis, two members of Radiohead and a couple of other people. They play at the Yule Ball in the movie. Jarvis wrote three songs for the movie

I agree, they are definately getting darker. At least there arn't going to be any cuts though :) .

Btw: I heard Harry has a nude scene in this film, although at a 12A im sure it'll just be a quick topless shot :D .

The book isn't that scary but the last of the third of the film could become quite scary and who does David Tennant play in this film??.

I reckon the mere sight of Mad Eye Moody with his crazy swivelling eye is probably enough to scare young children, let alone anything else.

I think they will have to make age certificates higher as the movies go on. The books become darker for a reason, so its only right the movies follow suit. I think it will spoil things if they are played down just to make them suitable for young children. They will grow up and be able to watch it one day, whereas if its made 'child-friendly' it will be that way forever.

i really want to see this one now and im going with all my frienRAB cos they want to see it too which i was surprised about but YEY
