Harry Potter 7

Just read that Guillermo Del Toro has thrown his hat into the ring to direct Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. How good would that be if it happened? His track record in fantasy is so good i'm sure he would make the last book an awesome film.

It would be an excellent move - but he's been passed over twice before despite showing an interest in the past, so I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet, if I were you.

I thought that this was going to be the last film for J.K.Rowling, but apparently she has said that she is going to be making another book, so the likelyhood would be is that she is going to be making another film......brilliant :D Although saying this though, he has to die sometime though, he can't exactly go through the films sequels living all the time, this would get boring. Even though I love watching these movies, I do realise that if he doesn't die soon, it will most likely get boring, and people might turn away from the films. What I think anyway.

I really don't think Jk will write an 8th book. i hope she doesn't as i think it will spoil it. I would like some kind of family tree book, to see who married who and what happened to everyone after the battle.

what she said recently is that she might do a book in which Potter is a peripheral character - she set it up that there could be a new generation of stories.

I think the clamour for her to continue to use that milieu will persuade her to write something, but Potter has had his 'journey' and it would be tinkering to base a story round him.
