Agree with this. I think Bonnie is dire
She's the only young one I don't like though... Tom Felton is another who has improved a lot, and Evanna Lynch is just lovely :)

Nothing like the book

Leaves vital information and scenes out

SpenRAB a lot of the time faffing about

Silly camera angles and too dark

WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!!!

I feel i should explain why i feel it was a letdown, i didn't want to go into specifics when i started the thread because i didn't want to ruin it for people that haven't seen it!

Firstly they did not explain that Bill Weasley was engaged to Fleur, which is a pretty important thing to omit seeing as it is as their wedding that the death eaters attack in the final book.

They also decided to leave out the fact that Tonks was pining for Lupin and that they do actually become a couple towarRAB the end of HBP.

They do not mention Sirius at all, they don't mention that Harry was left everything in his will, including Grimwauld Place, which is where he hides out in the 7th book!

They miss out the bit at the end where Bill is attacked by Greyback

They do not explain that Harry and Ginny enter into a relationship which is KEY for the 7th book.

They do not show Narcissa Malfoy very much even though she is key to the book!

They missed out Dumbledores funeral.

Voldemort did not feature ONCE!!!

They missed out the relevance of the cave where the horcrux was, they didnt mention that Voldemort tortured those children there and that was how he managed to create the horcrux

In fact they just spent the whole film trying to turn Ron and Harry into these hearthrobs, which they clearly are not!

Hermoine spent the whole film pining after Ron, Harry after Ginny.

And they added that ridiculous scene where Bellatrix blows up the Burrow just to create a bit of drama!

It was a pathetic attempt at a romantic comedy, something HBP is not!

It was a complete disappointment!

Obvisouly! I didn't think it made alot of sense. As they would of alluded to V having a son much sooner in the series. But i get it now. As i already knew of the relationship between Snape and Harry's dad. I just simply misinterepreted your worRAB.

It was funny and the Luna/Draco/Bellatrix were amazing but yeah it was a letdown, there wasn't enough Half blood prince reference - In the book he's supposed to be obsessed not so much in the film and there wasn't enough voldemort in it: past or present! but I did like how Dumbledore was less jumpy, when he tried to *kill* Harry in GOF I was like "whatttt".

that's kinda what i was saying coz it feels like a lot of nice scenes/nice little touches like the bit where Harry calls himself a tosser but it doesn't hang together as a story. The other films have hung together better. For some reason David Yates wanted to focus on the romantic nature of the book even though they didn't include the romantic climax of Harry breaking up with Ginny to go off finding horcruxes. The climax was DD dying and you couldn't get into the drama or the mystery of it coz they clearly told you that DD will die and that its supposed to be Draco that kills him. they took out any dramatic moments and had loaRAB of cheesey romantic comedy bits that made even me cringe and i like romcoms.

Well, I've formed my own opinion and yes it is a let down. It was funny, but not how I imagined the film to be like (the other films were, after reading the books). Disapointed to say the least. The fact that Dumbledore's funeral wasn't featured is a big no-no. That was a pivotal part of the book imo.

At least it's Orange Wednesday and i got the ticket for half price :D

Well they Slughorn did mention the death of Sirius when he showed Harry the photo of Regulus.

Narcissa was hardly in the HBP book. She wasn't key to it. They put her in, in the bits where she was in the book.

We saw Voldemort through the penseive as the young Tom Riddle. At no point in the book do we see the present day Voldemort so why should they put the present day Voldemort in the film.
