Harry Potter 5 - Order of the Phoenix

Aw it will suck if Oldman doesn't return, why haven't the WB said anything about this yet? It is clearly a major problem.

Apparently Radcliffe had gastric flu last week so they couldn't film his kiss with Cho.....poor kid.

got to say i totally agree with you there. the goblet of fire film was nothing like i expected. it just seemed to go so quickly through everything, missed out ludo bagman's character as well as other info. my boyf has never read the books and he finRAB it hard to understand the story, especially about harry's parents and their frienRAB and what happened before harry was born etc.

Sorry but Harry potter is the most rediculous, stupid film I have ever watched. It is meant to be real, they even have real cars to todays dates, so are there really wizarRAB out there? ER NO, but how the hell can children and ADULTS like it?

I thought all of the Harry Potter films so far have been quite disappointing in the way they cut out so much of the books. But I still enjoyed them and have them all on DVD!

Glad Gary Oldman appears to be back, hope they use him more in the next film.

The actors who have been cast as Tonks, Mrs Figg and Bellatrix Lestrange are all new to me - I don't recognise any of them! But when I read about Tonks in the book I always imagined her to be like the actress who played Scarlett in Four Weddings and a Funeral. Sorry don't know her name! I thought she'd have been good in the role of Tonks.

Thank you for your insightful contribution to this thread.

Is Harry Potter meant to be real? Of course not - it's supposed to be fantasy! It just so happens that the films are set in the modern day (although the books are set between 1991-1998).

And as for your other point about how children and adults are meant to like it, well, I'm an adult, I like it, I like the books, so you may as well put me in front of a firing squad then!

Yes, it's strongly rumoured that they are filming Order Of The Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince back-to-back. This came from a comment Steve Kloves (writer of the first 4 movies) made about him starting work on the HBP screenplay. People are saying they are trying to fit too much into Order and that it should be split into two movies, well maybe some things will get moved to HBP as it's much shorter. Stuff like Hagrid and Grawp (his giant brother) could be saved for HBP.

I reckon that this will be a very good film. Though the book is long, there isn't really that much action in it, so I think it'll be quite easy to trim it down. I'll put this in spoilers for those who haven't read the books...
Act 1 - Dementors, Harry's meeting, meeting the OoTP, going to Hogwarts - half an hour long
Act 2 - no Hagrid, detention with Umbridge, dreams about Voldemort - twenty minutes
Act 3 - no quidditch, dreams about Mr Weasley, Christmas, meeting Neville in hospital - another half hour
Act 4 - Trelawney going, Umbridge being evil, Harry's interview with the Quibbler - half an hour
Act 5 - Fred and George leaving, dreams about Sirius, goes to the Ministry, big finale - half an hour
I know I've missed out lots, but that's the main gist of the story in just over 2 hours.

Gary Oldman better return. If he wants more money, give it to him. They just sold 5 million copies of the Goblet of Fire DVD in the US for the love of god!

Yeah it was really sad, she had an asthma attack. She was great, and I do see why you thought she'd make a good Tonks!

The girl they've got seems a good choice though.
