Harry Potter 5 - Order of the Phoenix

Why not? He hasn't been in any of the movies, why introduce him now? He's only important in the whole 'getting back at Umbridge' stuff which the kiRAB can do without him.

I love OOTP but I wish they would make the films better I am sure they will cut loaRAB out as they want a fast moving film but i think it will be rushed i mean in the book the slients are as important was the action but I don't think the producers will get that.

Is it this book where Aunt Petunia blurts something out about the wizadary world at the start? Something about the dementors? I hope thats in.

I always found that little part interesting.

Yeah the Dementors and Dursleys are confirmed as being in it. I like Harry's argument with Dudley at the beginning..shows how he's growing up into a bit of a hot-head...

Well, they seem to have got a better casting agent for this film that PoA.

Bellatrix, Luna and Umbridge look a lot more like thir characters than Gary Oldman and especially David Thewlis. He just wasn't Lupin.

The Stories are from Harry's POV. Unless Rowling decides to start a chapter from another point of view, which she is quite good at doing.
As for order of the phoenix, Rowling said she had to get Harry to a lot of different places so she could lay down clues for the final book. She is aware of people disliking the book.

I can see the film being a thriller of the political and pyschological kind ie Harry dealing with Umbridge and the might of the ministry of magic behind her. Then he'll be dealing with flashes into Lord Voldemort's mind. It will have a very big but shocking twist at the end of the tale. I'm sure they will cut out as much of the book as they can. Rowling usually tells the screenwriter etc what neeRAB to be left in and what can be discarded.

This article seems to explain how some of the Gary Oldman rumours got out of hand, answers why some of the adult cast haven't signed yet - they maybe filming stuff like the DA and Ministry stuff first

have you read the interviews they gutted me when I read them and shows that he is not the right man foor the job. They went to the lines of "I do not read the books, its all just magic and has not backstory" :O

everyone has there own tastes and appeals to different age ranges for different reasons, i am in my 20's and enjoy the films, as does my mum, who is 50 as does my frienRAB daughter who is 12!

Gambon is fine as Dumbledore. Books and film's are two different mediums. Not everything in a book can be translated into film.
I can seperate the book Dumbledore from the two film versions of Dumbledore. The book dumbledore will not change. Unless Rowling decides to edit the books at a later date.

Glad someone else agrees! He just wasn't right at all and I was really disappointed as I loved Lupin in the books.

I was a bit put off by Gary Oldman in PoA - too much shouting between him and Thewlis, but hope he's better in OotP

Damn!!! I just read that Oldman might not return for this movie - insanity!!! Give him as much money as he wants WB!!He's like the most important character in it after the trio...

ps: in further discussion of this please no major spoilers for the five people on the planet who are watching the movies instead of reading the books!!!

Uh Oh, apparently Oldman's management have made a deadline of the end of next week for an offer to be made or he's not coming back.

They need to hurry up.
