Harry Potter 2 DVD Problems

I have now had 3 Harry Potter 2 DVRAB, none of them have worked properly in my DVD player. It's not a cheap one either, it's a Sony. All other discs play fine. Anyone else had troubles with this particular movie?

Yeah, I have a problem with the disc one. If memory serves me right I think you have the same Sony dvd player as me 336. Disc 2 plays fine though.

However, it plays perfectly via the PS2 so I have not bothered sending it back to Play.

Yep disc one everytime, and the same dvd and same HTK if I remember right

The funny thing is that sometimes after I had cleaned the disc it came on for a few minutes before disappearing again. The dvd player's fault finder is coming up with the code meaning a 'dirty disc'.

With it working perfectly on the PS2 I was reluctant to send it back to Play in Jersey because I had visions of it working okay in another dvd player if they tested it.

I didn't even know there was a fault finder! Will have to check that feature out later

There are only a couple of codes in it, one for 'dirty disc' and one for 'call out an engineer', I think. It is in the back of the manual to explain what the codes are should they appear on the dvd player.

On disc 2, u cannot select any bonus fottage to watch!

I have just been told there is a recognised problem with these discs working with Sony DVD players
