Harry Brown, new Michael Caine movie.

I watched this film this afternoon. The opening of the film (the girl with the pram) is a real shocker & sets the mood of the film.I thought the acting was pretty good especially from some of the young actors. They really make you hate their character even more. There is a slight twist towarRAB the end of the film.Personally i don't think it was needed but it doesn't ruin the film. The reason that this film got my intrest was because of Michael Caine. He is good in the film & you really want his character to get his revenge on the gang members.

Excuse me whilst I quote myself. HAving read myself back, I want to clarify. I think it was more 'powerful' than Gran Torino, but the story didn't have me as much. They were both, essentially, tackling the same sort of 'gang youth' problem, and I think Harry BRown probably did that better, but because of how 'gritty' (a word that only EVER seems to describe British drama) it was, I can't say I enjoyed it as much as Gran Torino, which was probably my film of 2009.

I don't think I could watch this without forgetting Cains endorsement of Cameron and the Tory party. :( It would just feel like a party political broardcast about ''Broken Britain''.
