Harry and Paul on BBC2 9:30pm Tue

Er, because they belong in the '90s?? There aren't many I could see working brought back. The Slobs are actually a reality now so they wouldn't be funny... Any of the others, e.g. Time Nice-But-Dim, Kevin & Perry, Mr Don't-Wanna-Do-That etc. would just be flogging a dead horse (like the 'Mr Dead' sketches they did!)

I think this series, even after only 2 episodes, is shaping up to be the funniest they have done for a while. The conclusion to the Landlady and the Writer sketch was hilarious, when "she" came down the stairs at the end. Quality. I thought I'd hate Mr Psycho Bean but that was made me laugh also, amongst many others. There were lots of funny, strong sketches on tonight. Like all sketch shows there are going to be weaker sketches than others but overall I hope this is a success for them because the production values are good and it is nice to see Charlie Higson back, albeit briefly, in the "quare" sketches.

The chavs sketch might be a bit more bearable, and possibly even amusing, if Paul Whitehouse wasn't saying "shut it" all the time.

Love the Film Noir sketch - with the only colour being the dead canary. :)

Sorry, but this series so far has been terrible! Don't know why either their producer or the BBC have let it get to the screen in this state.

Not sure if I'll bother watching again. Very disappointed! :(

I didn't think it was, but I was sure I'd seen him in something else. I think it was "School of Comedy", the sketch show with just a teenage cast.

Harry and Paul is the most shockingly unfunny sketch show I have ever had the misfortune to watch.

God knows how it got a second series, let alone a THIRD!

Some of the writer and landlady sketches they did in the last series were really, really funny - i think it was more down to some of the book titles he kept coming out with but i do remember laughing my arse off many times.

I like it.

"Bigger than cheeses..." tee hee.

This series is basically surreal character comedy, I think if it were to be endlessly repeated on Dave it would become mainstream.

Its interesting reading these comments and the reactions to certain sketches. Curiously, when young fresh faced Harry Enfield moved to mainstream in the early nineties, the Smashey and Nicey characters were reported to have been instrumental in the downfall of a selection of Radio 1 DJ's who arguably had reached the end of their time but needed to be pushed out the door. I get the impression for some posters both H and P are in a similar position now.

I quite enjoy the show-I was a big fan of all the immensely popular nineties characters-and although I dont fall over laughing I do smile at the Northerners, Queer sketches which arguably harks back to the seventies and doesnt appear to satisfy the definition of politically correct. The one I dont like is the horror Bean character which doesnt seem to have bothered anyone else. The Beatles are extremely clever and rather wasted on the small audience that are tuning in.
