Harry and Paul on BBC2 9:30pm Tue

Poor material. The first Dragons' Den and Parking Pataweyo were the only sketches that I liked.

Then again I wouldn't say it was any worse than the last series of That Mitchell & Webb Look.

All sketch shows are hit and miss. Even the much lauded Monty Python's Flying Circus had its tedious bits (especially in series 1).

I'm sorry but I have to say this....

I'm really enjoying Harry And Paul.:)

Just caught up with this on Sky+ and got to the third sketch then deleted it. It was so painful to watch :(

The Dragon's Den sketch on Children in Need night was very funny with the real dragons trying to pitch things like the television.

I suppose it will become another Fast Show, same sketch repeated each episode for the entire series.

It does take a bit of getting used to, as it feels different from Harry's previous series.

The character are a bit hit and miss sometimes. I wonder how long they can keep doing the Beatles stuff. It is a bit of a one note joke.

The Notting Hill stuff is great. Sadly it is a bit to close to real life(if you have ever been to Notting Hill).

Are they going to do more stuff with the Polish coffee shop? I know there was an episode which featured them a few weeks ago.

I don't think this gets very high ratings. Is this programme in danger of the axe?

Babylon Savlon :D

apart from that it was a bit shit. Paul Whitehouse can do no wrong in my eyes but Harry Enfield just looks too pleased with himself all the time. He really has no reason to be I'm afraid.

Paul Whitehouse is one of the best actor in the country.

BUrlesconi sketch is a breath of fresh H&P air.

always enjoy the Harley street surgeons..and the wives...(on tv and a surgeon but married ...must be a Quair !! )

Which you apparently have been watching despite the previous 2 series which were on a very similar footing.

I couldn't disagree more. But unlike you, after a watching a couple of episodes years ago of the painfully unfunny My Family I didn't watch it again, nor even feel the need to comment on it (until now) since you brought it up as a comparison. And yes, some of the Harry and Paul sketches are smart, but if you don't like satire, then there's your problem,

It would be quite funny if he gave us a LoaRABamoney or Stavros sketch, to show how they are coping with middle age.

LoaRABamoney might be a particularly profitable subject for resurrection. Enjoying low income tax, mortgage tax relief and easy credit under Thatcher, he's not so cocky in 2010. Maybe he set up his own construction company but went bust after Labour got in and he was hit by higher company and income tax, working time directive and minimum wage, and employees suing under the human rights act, workers' legislation or EU regulations.

Parking Pateweyo that is (not forgetting his black and white cat-a-weyo...).

I'm not sure what the sketch with the weird street-vendors was supposed to be based on-it was like a strange dream or a drug trip. I was engaged by the sheer weirdness of it, though.

Well I really enjoyed that, the Beatles parody was spot on (maybe the kiRAB don't get it ;) )

The DD was spot on esp the little nod to the presenters look :D
