Harry and Paul on BBC2 9:30pm Tue

The Dragons Den sketches alone make this must see for me, excellent stuff!! The beatles bit was great too.

These two between them have created some of the best comedy characters over the last 25 years on british tv. They can't get all of them right but when they do they are bang on and bloody funny too!!

I'm loving Parking Patawayo, Queers, Beatles, Dragons Den, Oi Shat it (chavs) & Pshyco Bean.

All the rest isn't funny at all.

The black & white ones bore me.

I think you've missed the decade where Enfield & Whitehouse, along with Burke and others reached their peak.

I didn't think much of his 80s stuff, but it was a start, and I don't think much of his latest stuff.

But the way they are lampooned in the sketch isn't funny, though. It could be a funny sketch if they varied the dialogue. Repeating one phrase is just tedious.

The poster I was relying to was suggesting that some of Harry's 90s characters were repetitive, so I was pointing out that this was an accusation that could equally well be made against some of the newer creations.

Funny how some of the sketches some people hate are the very ones others like. Perhaps all of the sketches have a part of the audience that likes them. (If Psycho Mr Bean has it's fans, surely the others all must?)

This show has undergone a very strange metamorphosis, from observational comedy to grotesque satire. The characters are like newspaper cartoons (Scarfe, Bell etc) with hideously distorted faces, and they talk in unnatural blank verse. It all makes for uncomfortable viewing and I find I'm just not laughing any more.

I loved that one. And I must admit the crapping pantomime horse made me laugh, however childish. I'm also getting the Beatles sketches now.

Mr Psycho Bean is still dross though.

Loved the Beatles sketch...a bit daft, but as a Beatles geek I really liked the attention to detail (the right instruments etc) and the songs. Dragon's Den was funny, as was the library chavs. Agree with the comments on the surgeons - clever, just not funny enough.
