Harry and Paul on BBC2 9:30pm Tue

Personally I thought the old gits were fantastic probably their best creations.

The new batch for this show are far far too repeptitive. Paul Whitehouse shouting shut it to the dog over & over is just annoying, the must be a queer is a queer over & over. It has definately lost something.

The sketch I find a bit bizarre and off-key is the one where, this guy (Paul Whitehouse) stops various females in a shopping mall, chats them into being models for commercials - only because he neeRAB help taking his mum places??

I find this sketch funny, yes, but stone me it's bizarre.

I agree it was hit and miss. The Beatles sketch was far too long (though maybe if I'd got the joke it wouldn't have seemed that way) and Mr Psycho Bean I could do well without.

On the other hand, I Saw You Coming is worth watching for in itself. So sharp, and spot on!

Is there no more Cafe Polska with Laura Solon though? :(

I admit that I didn't find many of the sketches funny but I would distinguish between satirical, or sometimes possibly lazy, use of racial stereotypes and being racist.

Well it made me laugh again this week, the only sketch that didn't really make me smile or giggle a bit were the chavs, too long. The Beatles sketch as John declared they were bigger than Cheeses was the highlight.

didn't find that remotely funny - probably because paul whitehouse's "i was very .. very drunk" character from the fast show was so much better.

i haven't scanned the whole thread - but I think the "quairs" sketch is in the worst possible taste.

the BBC should have stopped this. It is incompletely inappropriate to insult anyway, especially the PM in this way.

Its obviously leading up to a last show where eg Graham Norton is not "quair"

I was disappointed completely with Show 1 - Show 2 was a little better, but still poor.

I thought it was a stronger episode this week. I absolutely adore the "is he a quare?" sketches - very well done and acted superbly. The family of Chavs are very funny too - on paper, it would look a bit repetitive, but, again, the acting is second to none. Berlesconi is fast becoming a great Whitehouse character too. I wasn't too keen on the Beatles sketch last week, but this weeks had more laughs.

I really don't get the 'Writer and The Landlady' sketches though.

I guess it's all down to individual taste but I've found parts of this series absolutely inspired... yes it's hit and miss but it makes me laugh and has kept me tuning in every week. I barely watch any other TV comedy because it does nothing for me. It's intelligent comedy, it's sometimes repetitive but it's unique and very different in many ways to their earlier work.
Two major talents (particulary Whitehouse) still seemingly at the top of the game (most of the time!).
The ramble around Swanage lesbian headmistress was a superb sketch, Enfield has always played old ladies very well.

Their performances are as good as ever and I find it mostly funny but I think the writing is not as good as it was.

Or maybe they are just not allowed to be really cutting.
