For years I've dreamt of riding Route 66 with my dad on a couple of Harley FatBoys. We're both inexperienced motorcyclists but looking to get our licenses, fly on over and start the journey.
Early last year I failed to pass my CBT with a small learner company but despite the setback I didn't enjoy the experience much. The supplied protective gear, process and training bikes were all a little old and worn-out. I'm not gonna blame my fail on the company but after looking at the Harley Davidson 'Rider's Edge' New Rider Course that looks so much more enticing!
You get taught on an actual Harley (which is ideal since that's what I want to ride), they give you real sturdy protectives, it's all radio-contact and it's over 6 days including CBT and Direct Access.
I know it sounds like I've already made my mind up but I'm curious to know if anybody's done it? Is it a great as it sounds? And is it really worth the £1400?
