Yes they will, but it will require a little work.
You will have to have the bearings/races on the left case and crank sprocket shaft replaced and the end play properly set. You will also have to have the cam and pinion gears mated to each other, either replace the cam and get the correct pinion gear or use the cam and gear from the 92 in the 97. And if you want it done CORRECTLY, you either need to use the pistons from the 92, or have the crank balanced to the new pistons going into the 97 cases. Most people don't do this, but it really cuts down on vibration and extends engine life.
But basically, YES it can be done. Unless you are fully eqipped at home with a hydraulic press and the flywheel jig, and precision measuring eqipment, I don't recommend trying this yourself, have a shop do it. Bottom end build is critical and you want it right or the motor will go bad real fast.
